Above is Bob Heydman attempt at a drum style roster built from an old gas grill. The design is based on a collander he bought from a kitchen supply store. The drum rotates like a cement mixer with the attached fins aggregating the coffee as it is being roasted.
Pictured above is Bob Heydman whole roster. As you can see, it might not look pretty, but I bet it sure roasts good coffee beans.
